Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile stroller that can be used for multiple purposes. It can be transformed from a single stroller into double strollers by adding an additional seat (sold separately) or glider board. The City Select 2 Stroller, Eco Collection can be configured to be a triple travel system by adding an infant car seat. In all, it offers 24 configurations and is a top-rated stroller overall. This model uses Baby Jogger's soft, breathable TENCEL fabrics that help with thermal regulation and are sustainably sourced. It comes with a premium leatherette handlebar and bumper bar, as well as the belly bar. It is 20percent smaller and lighter than the top single-to-double stroller available, the UPPAbaby V2.
It comes with a sunshade of medium size and a handy magnetic peek-a-boo window that is easy to open and close. The telescoping handlebars are one of the most simple to adjust and works for parents of all sizes. The seats recline and come with an adjustment button for the footwell to allow you to position your child for maximum comfort. The storage bin is spacious however we would prefer it had a latch that was more secure. The bin is easy to open, however the zippers can be difficult to use because they must be unfastened and then put back in place after each use.
Like its counterparts, the City Select has single-action brakes that are easy to set and release with the pulling of a lever located on the side of the frame, lower than the handlebar. It is suitable for sandals and barefoot and an improvement over the awkward brake levers that some competitors use.
This is the only stroller we've reviewed in our review that accepts two infant car seats, making it a great option for twins or parents with a single child and a new baby coming soon. It is compatible with all major brands' infant car seats by using an adapter. We tested it on Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30 and Graco Click Connect models and also the Cybex Aton, Aton Q and Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. It is a great option for families with an infant car seat and are looking for a stroller to accommodate it, but you may prefer a convertible stroller that fits an additional car seat in this case.
